Seeing how popular they are and loads of questions being asked about the Panasonic range of plasma screens (mainly by me) I think its time we had a STICKY with the frequently asked questions on them to save all the searching and all the new threads asking previously covered questions. If others could add some more info that would be great.

I'll start off with the model differences (sourced from another thread)

Differences between the PW & PWD models

    Casing:
    PW (Consumer): Available in silver.
PWD (Business): Available in charcoal and silver, charcoal being very easy on the eye and is good for home cinemas.

    Radiation:
PW (Consumer): Class "A" means less electrical interference.
PWD (Business): Class "B" but no problem at all having it in your home.

    PIP/PAP/POP:
    PW (Consumer): Single digitizer.
PWD (Business): Twin digitizers, so that using the Twin source feature (PiP, PaP, PoP) is less restricted in what sources you can mix on screen.

    Accessibility:
    PW (Consumer): Standard menu options.
PWD (Business): More advanced menu options for setting up the image, good for those looking to get the best image out of the set. But be careful with the settings.

    Warranty:
    PW (Consumer): Consumer warranty.
PWD (Business): Consumer or business warranty depending on place of purchase.

It would also be useful to mention some of the flaws too, so that people can make an informed decision.

    No 50Hz HDMI
No colour control for RGB signals (i.e. saturation is not adjustable, white balance is of course)

I'd really be interested to read the differences between the PW6/PW7 range.

    Thanks.

press and hold volume - (minus) on the panel then presss status on the remote button 3 times (this is the button beneath the standy button).

I think this is a very good idea if we keep it to facts as opposed to subjective views about pq etc which are covered in mind boggling detail elsewhere :smashin:
