The Oppo Has Arrived But I Have A Problem...

OK I seem to have been a bit silly. For some reason I assumed the DVI to HDMI cable would be all I needed to interface this player with my screen however it appears I overlooked the fact that the DVI output only deals with the video signal. Pretty fundamental mistake I know.

Is there anyway of getting the sound into my media box whilst retaining the DVI HDMI connection as I won't be able to upscale if I use S-Video etc.

Already placed the unit for sale but thought I better check before I ditched it for a Denon.

Cheers,

Sorted it.

I've plugged a S-Video to Scart Converter into Input 3 of my media box, run the audio cables from the DVD player into the L & R sockets of this whilst retaining the HDMI connection as it shares the same input.

I didn't think it would work but enabling the HDMI for this input allows both inputs to work, the audio to feed through and video to be upscalled to 1080i via the HDMI.

A Bodge but it works a treat!
