Hi Fifa Fans,

I really liked the OGC Fifa league that TheDarkDestroyer has set up for OGC members, and thought it would be nice to set up a league for non-ogc members. (I have spoken to DarkDestroyer- so don't worry OGCers- Im not stealing his idea!)

I have some initial ideas, but would like to throw it out there to the soon to be league members to come up with suggestions to.

Initial Ground rules:

Max 20 league members(Need a reasonable number for a practical fixture list!)
No jokers- serious FIFA gamers only please
Must be able to play the fixtured games every week

When the 20 people interested have joined the league (well 19 – im included in the league!) we can all have discussions and come up with the final league rules and format etc.

Some things we can discuss- name of league, amount of games to play each week, how to make sure there are no cheaters (deliberately saying wrong result) etc (As League Creator, my word will be final- so the discussions don't go round and round and round!)

Also we could set up addititional mini cup tournaments like in the real football world.

Once we have chosen the 20 league members, we will need to each choose a different real world team (no duplicate teams allowed) and then I can draw up a league table and fixture list.

Then we each play the relevant match on the fixture list and treat it like a real world league.

So I throw it open to you my fellow FIFA 08 fans… the 19 other league members need to be decided!

So remember- only gamers who are serious about this need apply- no jokers/timewasters/immature kiddies etc.

I usually prefer pes but may get both if the shooting doesn't feel so predetermined and has a bit of variety to it.

Can I have Man Utd please, massive red. How many players on one team does it support? If we had two people that wanted to be the same team could they team up and play as one team? for example could Sole (I know your a Leicester man) and I play together as Utd against the others?

Thats a very good question, I dont know myself if you will be able to do 2v1 (or 2v2) online. Hopefully someone else knows! But you've asked first, so you get to be Man Utd!

Thanks mate, I couldn't see myself playing as Liverpool or Chelsea. Who are you going for?

Well im a Watford fan, so should probably go with them! but as they might not be able to compete with all the premiership/champions league teams everyone else will choose, i may have to go premiership. I'l take Newcastle, but if any die hard geordies out there want to be them, i wont mind picking a different team!

Call yourself a Utd fan? What Utd fan would want to be the Gooners, Tottenham I could understand.

Your connection would probably dropout mid game.lol Have you thought about getting a new router?

yeah might just bite the bullet and get a fairly decent wired one from Maplin's. I could be tempted to use Wigan or Pompey tho as of yet i'm undecided

Or get a wireless modem router. Are you using a modem plugged into a router rather than an all in one. If I couldn't have Utd I would have gone for Tottenham.

Dont worry it wouldnt be an every night thing, no more than 2-3 times a week, probably only 2 times a week. (Weekend and midweek game as in real life)

Yeah im the same with Newcastle, if a someone wanted to be them i wouldnt have a problem changing either.

As for headsets, I havent got one myself, so I wont personally be using one. But im sure if your opponent has one then you can both use it.

Fingers crossed the demo comes out today/tomorrow...get some practise in on the new version!
