    It's the DCR-DVD403E, due April 2005.

    Sounds like a great spec!

    Records stills and video onto the DVD.

    There's a DV version as well.

    But has it got a manual audio record level setting adjustment?

    Not likely IMO. Manual audio level adjustment is normally only available on fairly high end camcorders and DVD cams are definately not high end!!!

    Well, I did wonder...the bloke in the Sony shop had no clue what I was on about when I asked him, it's not even mentioned on the internet spec on the Sony site.

    It seems a few of the newer Canon Mini DV's have an audio recording adjustment (MVX35i - 25i), let's hope that this is a start of a future trend for these small machines...
