The new Panasonic MX500 Camcorder

    I mentioned this in a previous post.

    What I don't understand is that you can't seem to buy a 500 anywhere, but everyone is still selling the 'old' 350.

    ...and no one seems to have noticed !

    Actually your post was about the Panasonic NX8 which is reviewed at:

    Basically the NX8 is a 1024K single CCD version of the MX300/MX350. The Mx500 uses three 800K CCD's, along with some 'pixel shifting' which, in theory, should get you a higher resolution image.

    I'm sure the MX350 is still available because people are clearing stock of it, and the MX500 will appear shortly.

    Two weeks until NZ release of MX500. I imagine your release schedules are very similar (as they're souced from same factory).
