Most of the newer LCD's ( i was looking at the Samsung le26r87bd) have built in digital (freeview) tuners, but do these tuners have the capability to watch hd channels, such as the BBC HD channel? I have been reading around these forums and am a bit confused! Sorry if its a bit of a noob question.

No, I think when HD Freeview comes along, you'll need a new Freeview box. At the moment, I think the signals are MPEG-2, for HD they'll be H.264.
