When i am using my Yamaha HTib45 set up, should i be turning the tv speakers off or should i be leaving them on.

    Sounds odd with them on.

Only reason i ask is because i read something somewhere about leaving them on. OR i might have just dreamt that.

Sorry - i know im thick.

Not sure about your setup but assuming your HTib45 has front and centre speakers then off is the way to go.

I use a dummy headphone plug to cut the speakers off because they still made some sound (and lot's of hiss) even with the volume right down.

yeah sorry its a 5.1 set up.

thats what i thought - interesting about the hiss with volume down.

......runs off to stick head next to tv with speakers turned down.
