The Most Rewatchable Films Of All Time

Dalton is English. Sorry Welsh folk :)
Born: Colwyn Bay.

Edit:However his dad was English. So, under the terms that i use to justify my non-German status, he is English. In which case forget my previous posts on the subject.

The list is indeed odd. It most rewatchable rather than most rewatched films. Maybe many are voting for those they think they should rewatch rather than those they actually are rewatching. My first most rewatched films were the original 4 St Trinnians films when I was a kid. I loved them then and still do. I watched The Belles Of St Trinnians again just last week.

I also loved 2001 and saw that very many times at the cinema before buying the Laserdisc, DVDs and the BD. I also throughly enjoyed many of the Kung Fu films especially The Bruce Lee films. I have no idea how many times I've seen them. Fist Of Fury and Way Of The Dragon were the best.

Today some of my most rewatched are Amelie, Run Lola Run, Hot Fuzz, The World's End and Kung Fu Hustle.

Good point. My most rewatched film overall is probably Star Wars- to the point where I could recite it in my head (I did that while working on a checkout once, just to kill the time). Today, Star Wars rarely troubles my bluray player even though I still love it.

For a rewatchable film now, I'd much rather pick a dialogue driven film, such as a gangster flick, Tarantino or a decent comedy.

Stars Wars was an early Laserdisc for me so I did get a bit tired of it at one point but I'm enjoying it again now. As you say Tarantino's dialogue is often superb. Pulp Fiction and Crimson Tide are another two I go back to on a regular basis.

Just a quick list (could change at any time):

The Matrix
Midnight Run
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
Groundhog Day
Police Story (Jackie Chan)

Oh that is a good choice. Although i would probably pick Project A or Armour of God, as i watched them more.

I used to watch all 3 quite a lot, but Police Story is my favourite for a spin. Great theme music - gets the heart racing.

Definitely Welsh then.

Most rewatchable film for me in recent years is Dredd no question going by number of times watched.

The Princess Bride is the film Stardust wants to be, imo.

Just posted a clip on ;the perfect film moment' thread, so I'll mention it here. Warrior is easily one of my most watched blurays. I never get bored of watching Joel Edgerton, Nick Nolte and Tom Hardy battle through their darkest family issues. It showcases some of this trios very finest acting skills too. Plus it has some of the most brutal fight scenes ever depicted in a sports film.

Is the princess bride really good. If so im gonna watch it then.

Yes it is. It's a hugely entertaining film. I watched it again just a few weeks ago. It would certainly be a great double bill if you watched it with Starburst. It's not as if you have to choose one over the other.

Only scanned the first page but where are E.T and Mary Poppins?
