I saw this movie at the weekend it is now out on region 1 to buy.

    http://www.playusa.com/playusa.asp?page=title&r=R1&title=716861

It is basically the same old predictable stuff, one man saves the world kinda movie. Which are normally not the best written movies but fun none the less. (Steven Segal is the Master at these  )

If you have seen 7 seconds by Wesley Snipes you will know what to expect, however The Marksman is far worst.

I wouldnt recomend buying this movie. 3/10

    :D

Worse then 7 seconds? OMG. After buying 7 seconds I was put off of this title immediatly anyway (and doubt I will get any other Snipes strait-to-DVD releases either).....but nice to hear it really was worth staying away from

I am a big fan of this type of movie and of Wesley Snipes but 7 Seconds and The Marksman are really not worth the cash or time. Big shame really.

Acting in The Marksman was terrible.

Looks like since Blade 3 was so porly recived that old Wesley just isnt being given the big budget roles anymore. Shame really As I think blade 3 was bad due to the directing , editing and moving the focus away from blade, rather than Snipes putting in a poor performance.

True, but he was , for a time , getting seem bigger roles rather than direct to video stuff.

    All three blade movies.
    Passenger 57
    demolition man.
US marshalls to name a few.

The guy can also move and fight pretty well, and unlike Steven seagal, can actually do his own fight work without an overly used stunt double.

The movies in general could do with a few more action heros.
There are no longer any stand out leading men than can cut it in action and performance.

    Stallone,
big Arnie and bruce and getting past it.
You are not likely to see mell Gibson in any more lethal weapon movies.

    The new Bond is untested.

    Van damn.
    Seagal.
Dolph lungdren are all past there prime (some would say that they never had one :D )

Jackie chan , jet lee, all have had some success with hollywood but jet seems to be getting some really poor projects thrown his way, and Jackies action is more comedic nowadays than I would like.
It would seem that as the months go by from one summer to the next we get more and more 12A or PG-13 movies. The recent alien vs predator movie is one example of the studio and director watering the movie down from what it really could have been to something to appeal to a teen audience.

We had up and coming action heros in Vin diesel and Dwane the rock Johonson. Vins last project however was the Pacifier and the rock is pinning his hopes on doom.

We need some good old fashioned action, blood guts, swearing and gratuitous sex and violence, and we want it now :D

I thought it was OK, I've seen worse. Yes the acting is really bad at times, but I don't mind that, it gives the movie an eighties feel.

Well put Dave, yes we do need more 1 man vs the world actors. It seems as though these movies are now becoming dated and have been pushed from the major blockbusters down to the straight to dvd movies.

    :D :D

Wow just rented this and feel that I just been coned out of £3. Most films I can sit though even if they are bad but this I had to fast forward just so it would end. Some the acting was shocking especially that scientist guy.
Its like one of them cheap American made for TV films.

The Marksman was better than 7 Seconds.

In the same way that food poisoning is better than dysentary...
