hi guys,
i have the philips 42pf7520/d and have been looking up a few comments and reviews on this panel...most of you sent it back because of poor PQ..
i've had it a year now, and was always disappointed with the picture. washed out reds, grainy noisy black, very poor SD sky and analogue...i tried everything, gold free oxy plated you name it
!..sill bad picture..even with xbox 360 conected with vga cable and dvi adaptor i had a washed out picture and grey blacks and general crap picture..
all you 42pf75...owners know what i mean..
that was until i discoverd this button only last week..
on your remote,
2nd row from the bottom,
third button from the left..
is has SMART wrtiiten above it and a blank box on it.
this button has all but given me a new tv!!
it cycles through modes, RICH, MULTIMEDIA, SOFT, NATURAL ETC.. you want to select SOFT..then go and turn up the brightness a little..i have mine set at 68...turn off active control. VIOLA..a new TV!
you will not believe how this has brought the panel to life..everybody comments now..how great a picture it as..the 360 is excellant too..deep darlbalck, bright reds, NO grainy interference..
try it yourself!!
i apologise if you all knew this..but its worth sharing again!!
