hi guys,

i have the philips 42pf7520/d and have been looking up a few comments and reviews on this panel...most of you sent it back because of poor PQ..

i've had it a year now, and was always disappointed with the picture. washed out reds, grainy noisy black, very poor SD sky and analogue...i tried everything, gold free oxy plated you name it:confused: !..sill bad picture..even with xbox 360 conected with vga cable and dvi adaptor i had a washed out picture and grey blacks and general crap picture..

all you 42pf75...owners know what i mean..

that was until i discoverd this button only last week..
on your remote,

2nd row from the bottom,
third button from the left..
is has SMART wrtiiten above it and a blank box on it.

this button has all but given me a new tv!!

it cycles through modes, RICH, MULTIMEDIA, SOFT, NATURAL ETC.. you want to select SOFT..then go and turn up the brightness a little..i have mine set at 68...turn off active control. VIOLA..a new TV!

you will not believe how this has brought the panel to life..everybody comments now..how great a picture it as..the 360 is excellant too..deep darlbalck, bright reds, NO grainy interference..

try it yourself!!

i apologise if you all knew this..but its worth sharing again!!
