cheers for review Cas. Been waiting for it before pressing the buy button. Already have it on blu ray so wanted to see review before getting the upgrade.

Having sat down and watched Pacific Rim Uprising in 4K & 3D back to back on the projector and then 4K again on the TV for brighter HDR I’ve come to the conclusion that 4K does not come anywhere close to matching the 3D effect of actual 3D.

Yes it has great depth and separation but ultimately it is still oh so flat, I’ll be sticking to my 3D version of The Lion King as I definitely prefer true stereoscopic depth to 4K a shame it won’t be around much longer :(.

Thanks for another great Review Cas.
Torn between getting this for the Wife for Christmas or not, as she always cries at "that" part - and she is not a person to tear up easily :)
Oh, & thanks for "Diluent" - did not know that was a word, but indeed it is; I will be using it!
Now we need the verb "to plode" to be recognised, seeing as we have implode & explode! :D

I got the steelbook from Zavvi and will be watching it this weekend. The remake looks set to be a disappointment already, as they have cut Scar's song Be Prepared, which makes me wonder what else they will change.

This is easily the best 1994 animated film about lions I've ever seen.

      And that's really saying something.

Great movie, ties with Aladdin for the greatest traditional animation.

Could not care less about the remake, literally.

Yeah not really noticing much of an increase in anything really, it is there but it's minimal really.

      3D version is still King.
