doesnt look like it, as i asked if it had promotional writing popping up on screen at times throughout the movie, and they wasnt, has it been released in asia or somewhere like that..?

I smell a pirate, some people cant notice the difference between retail and pirate nowadays, this is because of the high quality pirate films casing, covers, production can be.

Just because their was no promotional writing I doubt that this would mean it was original.

From other sources I have found that their is a pirate dvd which is great quality and has no promotional writing popping up.

But hey! what the hell do I know:p good 4 her if it is original :D

its possible as well that someone leaked a copy of the actual dvd on the net...... its happened before and would explain why it looked official

if its on DVD then it *has* to be a pirate copy, no doubt about it!
Its not available anywhere legitimately yet, which kinda narrows down the options doesn't it? ;)

The retail of last samurai has been on the net for about 3 weeks now and *cough* *cough* i have it, i would struggle to tell the difference there all encoded with CCE now and quality is superb

Its no diff to Return of the king retail though as thats been on the net for well over 1 month now

both films are on my Buy list though when they hit the stores.

I downloaded a xvid version of it and the quality was superb, obviously taken from a high quality dvd version. Same is true of ROTK.

You can buy this title and more by the bucket load at any boot sale and most markets, the copies are usually crap!! as afrind of mine bought Master & Commander and someones head is bobbing about on screen. Just wait and buy the proper disc!

thats an interesting point, we all complain about official copies not being up to spec..... if we all bought officials and shunned piracy, then we could sayb this without the same degree of hypocrisy

It all comes down to how much you know the pirate movie scene if you have no clue and go buy a dvd from your local market then yes you will often get total crap

if on the other hand you know all about it then you will only get the RETAIL releases and not crap cams and telesyncs etc

I have been following it for years now and do often download the retails when they appear weeks/months before shop releases but it does not stop me buying them once released if i enjoy the film of course as i take pride in my collection.
