Catch it on Netflix and, from memory, it’s a 4K release.

4K digital master but not actually 4K 🙄

Pass. Started watching it on Netflix but got bored and wandered off.

It's one of those slow-burn films. I really enjoyed it. Way too long though.

Is this the first criterion with an atmos soundtrack? If so then they seem to be ever so slowly crawling towards a 4k release 😂

Nope, Roma has one, as does Parasite (US release the month before this).

caught this on Netflix. boy, it was a chore. Al was outstanding, the rest was byt he numbers and was at least 45 mins too long.

I was very hyped to watch this on Netflix at the time it was released and I wanted to love it, but I thought it was only good, but not great. Certainly not up to Goodfellas or Casino standard (in my opinion). That said, I am contemplating buying this disc for a revisit although it is pretty expensive for a blu ray and a film I could watch again on Netflix.

so ... while Criterion are not adopting the 4k disc format, they are adopting 4k prices.
it's a pass from me.
i might pick up if it ever goes cheap - or used.
put it on 4k, i'll buy it for 24.99 (or maybe more).

It seems so doesn't it? And when you look at some of the 4K prices over in the US right now...

Love the film but £25.99 now on Amazon and Zoom, sold out on Zavvi

Think I'll stick to Netflix till I get one on sale somewhere.
