I have just spent a few days experimenting with different outputs from DVD players to a Tv. Everyone knows that composite is the worst, S-Vid next and then RGB is best*. But interestingly, an even greater difference seems to be the cable. Comparing cables at £5, £30 and £120 I can tell you that the £120 cable is worth every penny. The £5 cable reduced the quality of a £2000 player to that of a £60 one. Your £30 cable was a lot, lot better, but even so, was noticeably worse than the £120 cable.
I am amazed. I honestly did not expect those results. Never again will I buy a cheap cable..

*OK, so I have only known for a week...so what?? Ha ha!
