Anyone know where the following games can be bought? Fully legal and genuine versions only, please :)

    System Shock 1 & 2
Knights of the Old Republic 1
    Thief 1 & 2
    Planescape Torment
Arcanum: of Steamworks & Magick Obscura
    Fallout 1 & 2

I know where these can be "acquired", but I'd really like to pick up legit copies before they disappear off the face of the Earth. Also would prefer new software over used, unless it's unavoidable.

I bought Planetscape Torment on a budget release awhile ago - worth checking HMV or Game in the budget section for some of those.

Seth is spot on, Games budget section is fantastic, if they have the games in stock. Took me months to get Broken Sword 1+2 as they sold out almost as soon as they got them in.

Pretty sure i saw Planscape and the first 2 Theifs in there.
Also i'm sure i saw Knight of Old Rep recently too. Cant remember where though (although it is on my shelf, mayeb i'm just getting confused:) ).

You could go to the publisher specific websites such as sold out etc, or try play etc if you dont mind waiting.

Thief 1 is refered to as Thief The Dark Project try here. there is also a extended version witth more missions of it called Thief The Dark Project Gold.

    Edit found Gold here.

Thief II is called Thief 2 - The Metal Age here.

If you have not played the games and like a challenge play on the top level of the game as this will unlock some new areas, that are not the on the easiest level.

Do the Thief games play OK on Windows XP? I've never played them and as they are generally regarded as classic games, maybe I should.

Well, I just got Theif 1 & 2 double pack for £4 on eBay Express. Found Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics for £5 at HMV. Gamestation had Alpha Centauri for £2.

This is what I call value for money :p

I'm still looking for Arcanum, Planescape and KOTOR 1. Not found these cheaply yet :p

Yeah I've just sold KOTOR 1 on ebay. Also sold Planescape a while back. Both for close to their as new, original prices. I did find Planescape in my local Gamestation though for £5 so, as has already been said, it's worth looking in your local game shops. Heh, maybe I should have held onto those two games for longer but I had played them through to the end, so felt I had to let someone else have the enjoyment of playing them.

Dont think XP has problems with the games its more the GC drivers. I know the last time I played Thief I had to use a old driver.
