The memories of childhood soon came flooding back the minute the happy tune came from the speakers and the characters were briefly introduced.

Oh how I smiled as the " Truffle Shuffle " was seen again for the first time in years ( probably 10 or more )

    What a FANTASTIC film.

The picture quality was great and the 5.1 soundtrack was very good, with great stearing of effects and good subtle use of rear speakers.

Go and get your copy now !!!

    Ref: Hidden Video Treasures

This is a tad missleading. All that it means is that when watching the commentary version, every now and again you'll get the 'hidden video treasures comming up on the screen. In other words you'll be able to see the commentary team of donner and the kids in the small box or full frame on your tv, which i believe is a first for a dvd commentary track release.

the actors on screen has been done in mallrats (although you need to use angle button when asked) but all in all goonies has been one of my most aticipated discs in a long long time I agree with everything thats been said about this classic film.

Yeah, great dvd, great film, but I did read somewhere that you can alternate the view between the commentary and the film. It didnt tell you how to do it, just that you could.

I have, and it was awesome! I've noticed a lot of "fogging" not evident on the Dreamcast version. Apart from that, and 2 cut scenes, they seem identical.
I'm stuck in the Umbrella factory, and can't figure out how to get power on, now I've started the generator.
