    Hi

I really want to buy this film (The Game 1997 - Michael Douglas Directed by David Fincher) on DVD but I'm hoping and waiting to see if a special edition version will be released like other David Fincher films have. Does anyone know anything about it?

    Thanks

    Hi Nick
There is a special 2 disc edition of the Game coming out soon (or is it out now??) from the Criterion collection - It should be well worth the wait :)

I wouldn't hold your breath! USA, who previously help the rights to The Game, have basically just folded. Now, Universal have picked up the film and re-releasing it on August 27th BUT it will be exactly the same as the original release.....

    Yugh,

I bought the original dvd for about £5.99 or something from Play I think. It's pretty boring :( I was quite gutted as it looked really interesting.

There is hope as Universal have licensed some titles to Criterion (Brazil and Spartacus). The only USA Film on Criterion is Traffic, the deal for this had been signed prior to their demise so Universal could not pull it.
