What is the flatest speaker cable you can get, i remember one mag doing a deal years back that included a good amount of really flat cable if you signed up to their subscription (I think the cables name begain with V - its driving me crazy as it looked like you could wall paper right over it)

I looked like the stuff that runs down them really sylish kef speakers set in glass.

    Can anyone help!

Not sure which cables you're referring to but I use Nordost Superflatline Gold MkII on my two channel system and I find it hard to believe cable could get much thinner than that.

Depends on how much you want to spend....the flattest cables I have come across are made by Nordost(www.nordost.com)and they have quite a range of cables, from relatively reasonable to very expensive indeed.

As far as I know, there arent any others quite as flat as these, and I do hope it wasn't the Nordost Valhalla cable you were thinking of....you'll very probably end up in valhalla when you see the price. :D

I think you are referring to an offer in Home Cinema Choice magazine, towards the end of 1999. The cable was Vivanco Prowire 'out of sight' cable. According to the magazine 12m of the cable was worth £39.00

alex2, it would be rather nice if HCC were to repeat the offer with Nordost Valhalla cable!

i use chord oddysey, not flat but still very discreet. my friend had a go at me once as he thought i was using cheap bell wire to wire up my speakers, when i told him it was £17/m he was shocked to say the least - it doesn't really look like its good but is!

It's interesting that Nordostuk state that the 2 FLAT propogation delay is 90% of the speed of light. I guess this means that the transmission speed is 10% of the speed of light.

The cable must have some interesting characteristics!
