Looks like horse **** from that video.

Only Kinect game that is needed is Kinect Sports 3 IMO, worked so well.

Don't know why Microsoft sticks with Kinect. The games are terrible for it plus the lag time for it is just useless, etc. I believe if you want motion controls then go buy a Nintendo Wii.

Whilst intrigued by this title, I think it's quite telling that I haven't seen 'hands on' impressions from gamescom on the major gaming news sites.

What Kinect games is their to go through? We've barely heard of a successful one apart from Kinect sports. You have to admit it yourself. I just don't think Kinect has exactly been a roaring success, hence the fact barely anyone wants it with the Xbox One either.

True, full body gaming gets old after a while but is still fun in short bursts, but Kinect can be used in different ways the more sensitive and accurate it becomes, I honestly believe that whilst most of us wont be playing 'Kinect' games we will be using the Kinect within our everyday sessions, if only through a wave of the hand or voice, some developer will come up with an idea (possibly an indie) and it'll become a standard interface action and we'll all be happy to adopt it.

So basically your talking about Kinect one games! Kinect 1 which is very different to Kinect 2? Kinect 1 that most developers didn't bother to develop for because it didn't have the userbase?
Is that really a suitable basis for judging Kinect games of the future? When you haven't even used the new Kinect and have seen very little of it in action?

I'm not talking about the new Kinect. I have the Xbox One pre ordered and looking forward to seeing what the new Kinect can do. The previous Kinect just wasn't up to par to what they made it out to be. My whole discussion was about the old Kinect! I didn't want to see it exactly do bad since I wouldn't have bought the old one on launch.

No, the whole discussion is about a new kinect game playable on the new kinect. You decided to judge Microsofts persistence with the future of kinect based on your experience of old kinect and old kinect games.

The game still uses Kinect! But oh wait, you'll just but in with its new hardware, etc. I'm just having a rant about the old Kinect, and I did actually watch the trailer for the game, and gameplay, etc. It's a discussion after all, don't know how my own views are annoying you so much. Do you have a hand in the game or help created Kinect or something?

Edit: My post sounded just plain evil. Sorry to come across as in argumentative. Had the worst day ever with my gran in hospital, and health going downhill, etc.

    Dont worry about it.
Your views arent annoying me at all. I just found it odd that you were questioning why microsoft are persisting with kinect based on your opinion of the previous kinect, and very little known about the new kinect. On top of which microsoft have explained why they are persisting with it, because they believe in it. Like you say its a discussion. You've made your mind up on kinect, ill wait till ive tried it and seen more befor i form mine.

Well we've got kinect coming with the Xbox One anyway, so definitely going to give it a chance. The thing I like most about the new Kinect is its ability to see in the dark, should come in really handy. We still friends? Haha. :D

Yeah. Working in the dark is pretty vital if they are expecting you to use gestures for navigation of the dash and controlling media. My lights are usually off when im watching tv or movies.

Kinect sold over 24 million, one of the largest userbase there is for current gen.

Simply put the games were god damn awful hence why it was dropped, there was only so much Devs could do with such limited hardware.

Of course it looks laggy. Its a gesture based game as opposed to a 1to1 motion game. In other words you have to complete the full gesture before the game can know what you are wanting to do, so it isn't until you finish the full gesture that anything happens on screen. Kinect sports rivals uses 1to1 motion tracking so there is no noticeable lag.

Don't see why they can't hybrid it, using prediction. If your arm starts to throw a punch, start the punch animation with a pull out animation if the user bails on the punch.

That could work, but only in a game with limited moves. The problem comes when parts of gestures are the same for multiple moves.

it looks so bad I'm actually really curious about it, might pick it up at 50% off in GAME just to see how bad it actually is
