I'd go for the R2 SE with the awesome DTS soundtrack.

The Ultimate edition has better PQ than the R2, but the R2 has a more aggressive soundtrack.

Comparing the two, personally I'd rather have the Ultimate edition. I've got the Superbit R1 and the R2 2 Disc SE - and the picture is considerably worse on the R2.

Was just going to say this, I have the R2 2-Disc (lured by Full BitRate DTS!) but the PQ is awful.
The R1 Ultimate edition is basically the Superbit disc with the second disc of extras.
You can pick it up cheap from Amazon Us for about a tenner

Me also - have both the region one version and the region 2 special edition - the REGION 2 SPECIAL EDITION is, in my mind, best for both picture and awesome sound.
Also only £7.49 from sendit.com (or £7.99 from HMV - post free)

I've got both the region one superbit and the region 2 special edition, and on a 50" screen and played through a quality sound system the region 2 comes out just on top in both picture quality and sound quality.
Having said that the region 1 superbit is still fantastic in both departments.
