It's the big one. It's the one that likely would have been on TV had fans been allowed in grounds.

So instead, BBC are screening Ilkeston Town Vs Hartlepool this weekend in the FA Cup 4th Round Qualifying Round.

The all-National League ties include a derby between Aldershot Town and Woking, Stockport County entertaining Chesterfield and beaten play-off finalists Notts County going to league newcomers King's Lynn Town.

What now for the FA cup with a mix of elite and non elite teams in it?, does non elite football cease with the lockdown?, that's teams in step 3 and below so anything below NLN/NLS

I said a while back that the cups would be the first things they scrap. Keeping the leagues going is priority one.

Plus the PL teams (especially the ones with Euro games) won't want to be faffing round with delayed fixtures, trying to squeeze them in here and there. There's enough injuries already. Plus it just means more chances for potential infections.

Hopefully it gets completed of course, but I can't get excited for any cups this year. The European games could end up in jeopardy as well yet.

FA trophy will be a mess too as it covers step 1 to step 4

Brizzle Rovers away in round 2, could have done with something closer than 250 miles away and less League 1ish but hey ho, we'll just have to beat another mid/low level league 1 team away from home in the West country like Swindon

Err... are you allowed to say that seeing as colloquial references like the Man City one are not permitted?

Not seen the draw but the way things are going with the non League clubs it could be a very exciting third round, no?

Despite the good news of the vaccine I don't envisage any sudden U-turn in fans getting back in stadiums - do you?

It's the second round "proper" this weekend with a few non-leaguers battling it out for that coveted place in the third round.

Tranmere vs Brackley Town tonight and then tomorrow...
