A great film with wonderful scenery. What also especially impressed me was Jerry Goldsmiths music with it's very haunting score, at the very start of the film. I read once that some of the great Hollywood film composers felt very threatened by him as he could turn his talents to any kind of film and change his style completely.... actually it was Henry Mancini who said that " frankly, he scares the hell out of us"
His successes are numerous and amongst them are my own favourites (musical wise) such as the Mummy,Planet of the Apes,Total Recall ...

I loved "THE EDGE" on US bluray. I had never heard of it before I watched it. Just bought it cos I like those kind of "wilderness" movies and thought it would look nice in HD. I was right... cracking disc for a cracking film. I can't believe it flopped as heavily as it did at the boxoffice.

Greatest -minus Al Pacino- shouting film ever.

Always a favourite of mine and one of a handful of releases which are a good reason to have a Region A player or multiregion setup.

I turned my USA disc into a 2-discer (nothing on the Blu-ray just 1080p) with the UK DVD as it has a few nice extras.

Around £12 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B0038Z5SEW/

There's been a few Fox Region A titles made it to France but I didn't want to wait for this classic.

Does a bear **** in the woods?

Edit That bear image never loaded properly -kind made that tagline look odd.
