Since no one has posted this edition, I added it so it can also be added to the database. Hope it's okay with everyone.

Id recommend any Departed fans who haven't bought this one already to go for the very cheap Italian one - the Italian one features better PQ (different transfer) and the AQ bitrate is about twice that of the UK one as well. Id also be very wary of ordering steels from Amazon Canada as they don't believe in any protective packaging at all - will come in a standard jiffy envelope most likely!

Do you mean the Italian amaray? There isn't an Italian steel is there? There's a French and a German steel I think.

Yeah amaray - sorry, should have mentioned that! Im all for steelbooks of films I really like but when there's a better release that's easy/cheap to get - Ill go for that one.

Italian one is very cheap though but probably best combined with something else (Kingdom of Heaven DC is a good choice!) to save on the postage. You could always stick this one inside the steelbook I suppose!

Sorry, back on this again Jim - I was looking at the blu-ray.com thread you posted a while back showing best versions etc - there seems to be some debate about whether the Italian version is better than the US version - how did you reach your conclusion?

A certain rebel scum told me! :D The transfer does seem a bit better though to me when I compared the Italian to the UK one. And the AQ bitrate was nearly double too. It was so cheap that I wasn't bothered finding out myself to be honest (I think it was 5 euros?)

And Id be wary of the 'screenshot specialists' over on blu-ray.com forums...they definitely have a bias towards the US versions of films for some reason ;). I think it might be because of region B locking and the fact they don't want to double dip? :D

I don't expect there's any difference between the US and the UK one (and blu-ray.com forums are bad for having any information about UK releases when there is a more or less identical US one) but the Italian one certainly seemed a bit better compared to my UK one.

any idea if this has inside artwork? please

It does have inside artwork. I'll put it here tomorrow if you want.
