The best thief you'll never see.
Did any one watch this the other night on the BBC?

Did any one watch this the other night on the BBC? I usually find the productions of it very stilted and although the concept of the story is good I usually find the implementation of it a yawn fest. Fortunately I missed the titles and did not what I was watching for the moment and I got drawn in to the tale and before I got to the point of Oh NO not an other production of this story I was reeled in hook line and sinker.
It seemed to come across between a film and a elaborate TV production and on checking was a premier on the BBC but was made in 2002 and had a great appearance in one of his last roles of Richard Harris.

I saw that when it was on Sky Movies and wasn't impressed.

There's a very good TV version (in French, naturally) with Gérard Depardieu which is well worth catching.

I saw it at the cinema when it came out...think it's a great film!
