Can any one tell me what the music that was played on the TV series 'The Cosmos' with Carl Sagan.
Yes it is quite a list.
Or can they point me to a site with this information on. I have been to Amazon already.

Thank for that I thought I wasn’t going to get a reply, but the above was well worth the wait.
Great series wasn’t it, with all the rubbish on the box these days I wonder why they haven’t repeated it.

    Cheers psmc

I think the main title music is the "HEAVEN & HELL, Vangelis" track mentioned in the list.
I bought this on 7" vinyl at the time in a very nice picture bag!

    Cheers, Paul

It was a great series and the DVD set is an extensive package but I cannot justify paying that price either.

Funnily last week I was watching a film, and the music was like Heaven and Hell, and it reminded me of The Cosmos, as I knew this was played a lot on it. But some of the classical tracks are crackers a well,. I just might send the BBC a letter and ask them to consider repeating it. Or on the other hand I may wait till I have a DVD recorder.

So we cannot find a reasonably priced copy!

Without doubt this was one of the finest factual science programmes of the early eighties and, bizarrely, never repeated.

I would love this DVD for my collection (maybe this should be moved to the DVD Talk Forum) but even the most recent eBay price was $160 plus postage – a tad too expensive for me.

Has it been released in the UK?
