The Cabin in the Woods Review

Whilst it won’t single-handedly reinvent the genre, Joss Whedon’s revisionist horror movie The Cabin in the Woods does go some way towards giving it a new lease of life.

Good review Cas of the film and watched it last night and I do not like 95% of the horror films that been made in the last decade or so and think the last one I really liked was Slither which cracked me up.
This one put a new slant on the horror and a good reason for it. And although I don't think Ill ever buy it, its one I'm glad I did not miss.

Not a bad video, but it was a big silly when they compared the giant tarantula to Eight Legged Freaks instead of, you know, the film Tarantula...

There's a few they chose I thought of others like like you Tarantula, the Jack o Lanter(Halloween), Ive not seen the film with the puzzle sphere but I thought of albeit a cube (Hellraiser) and the Madrid Castle looks to me like one of the Fu Manchu films its nice to see what were in the boxs.

I liked the video, alright they could not explain everything as the only people who could actually explain everything are on the crew and they do not seem keen to demystify it and I'm OK with that too. :D

I liked this a lot. And I mean, a LOT. Didn't bother watching the trailer (which is proving to be the key into enjoying a film these days) and felt that this was a better representation of Whedon's talents than the Avengers was.

I haven't seen that vid yet but i'll be sure to check it out later. Got tax to pay ):

Late to the Game here, but we watched this yesterday. Was a 99cent beauty on iTunes, with Dolby Vision & Dolby Atmos.
We're not big fans of straight-ahead Horror Movies, but the Comedy aspect of this made it totally work for us.
The black comedy of Bradley Whitford & Richard Jenkins was definitely our favourite part, plus all the asides from Marty. Great fun!
And with the 4K DV & Atmos treatment, definitely easy to get pulled into the experience/experiment!
