The Bourne Identity just got a really great review from dvdfile:

The Bourne Identity is fast-paced, highly enjoyable thriller and a nice antidote to the silly James Bond pictures, as evidenced by the lame Die Another Day. I, for one, am glad the film was a hit, because it likely means more. If future installments are as well-made, well-acted and as tightly-wound as this one, then for once the idea of a sequel is good news indeed.

I thought this was supposed to be pants?

Anyone else think it was good?

I just took a gamble and ordered it, to a great extent for the same reason as mcmullanbrush quotes.

I've learnt never, well, hardly ever, to be swayed by the opinion of others in the matter of whether a TV show or movie is enjoyable.

No disrespect to the opinion of others in this matter, it's just they're always going to vary a bit.

Very true. I've ordered some movies that had dire reviews and ended up loving them to death. :)

Doug Liman directed 'Go' as well, which is well up on my list of favourite movies of all time :)

I have had this for a while and I thought it was a pretty good film.

It was nothing very new or different but was well paced and well acted with some good action.

    I would say 7/10

i saw it on an airplane ride back from nz a while ago and even in stero sound on a 6 inch screen it was very good.

Pretty impressive action direction on the hand to hand combat skills....

Saw Bourne Identity and it's ok but a bit slow in places. Don't get me wrong, it has some class set pieces but it never got me going. In fact, I was left thinking that if a viewer never liked mate prior they may struggle to feel too much affection for him :)kisses: -easy) but the bird is attachable:devil: And, keeps saying something that had me s******ing.:D Oh and his boss is another one of those, "Where'd I see him again recently?"
Brian Cox appears omnipresent of late and will be going for another outing in X-Men deux - that is, the Canadian writing version which mcmullenbrush can't wait for:D
Oh and the music seemed a little subdued in the mini chase with just the high end coming through more, anyone else think that? Perhaps I was too tired and need another view...

Just watched this - thought it was great, like a (semi-) sensible Bond movie.

It's very stylish ... realistic without being gritty, with a nice sense of humour just beneath the surface.
