Today I've just had an offer accepted on my first house :D whe hey!!!!!

It's quite scary knowing that I'll never make a bigger committment (well getting married and having kids maybe, but that's a few years off :D ), when I think of how much money I'm committing to it makes my mind boggle! Byebye freedom, hello financial noose!

All I can say is though....it's about bl**dy time :) And the best news? It's detached, so hello deep bass and loud loud movies  :D

This is probably of no interest to anyone but I thought I'd share it anyway:D Can you tell I'm smiling?

Congratulations mate, the feeling when you actually step through the door of your house is amazing. Hope it goes OK for you from now on!

Cheers:) My fingers are crossed! I'm actually buying the house with a mate so we've been able to get something decent, nothing's cheap these days :) Luckily we both have the deposits ready to go, the mortgage is agreed and the house we're buying is empty (the owner has already moved elsewhere), so there's no chain:)

Now I just have to watch my savings account drain to nothing  :(

...and then think about what new AV kit to buy

So that'll be in about 25 odd years time when the multiple mortgages are all paid off, until then it is the mortgage lenders house :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sorry, very bitter on the subject of buying. Have put it off for years now, and having passed 30 last year, I should really pull my finger out, it'll be good in the long run right?!? Good luck with yours Smurfin. Just got to stop wasting my deposit on my disease, one by the sounds you also suffer upgradtitis :smashin:

    Cheers

For me that was actually a bit of a low point! Walking into an empty building where you could suddenly see all the marks and cracks (not to mention the avocado lounge with pink carpet) was a little sobering. Two and a half years later (and more money and time than I like to think about) and I'm finally in my house and its brilliant :smashin:.

Congrats Matt- I hope the rest of the process is as smooth as possible as well :).

Hmm... I wonder how long it'll be before it makes an appearance on the classifieds :D

    haha :D

What are you doing over in this forum? I've got another thread title change request over in the classifieds;)

Seriously though, I've not really been doing that much trading recently, although that's changed in the last week;) Amazingly I'm coming up to a years anniversary on my speakers (spots a couple of forum members falling over in shock), and bless 'em, I still love 'em!

As soon as I've moved (or even a bit before maybe, I think I know what kit I'm adding to the system as I know what my living room is going to be like now :D ) there'll be a load of "Wanted" ads. Oh I can't wait
