Hi there I want to buy The Big Blue by Luc Besson.
while all versions are devoid of extras and not brilliant for picture and sound, the R1 has a french 5.1 track whereas the UK only 2.0.

How does the picture quality differ between those 2 versions??
sound is deifately better on R1, but the picture??
I would a prreciate some comparitive review (if there is one)
    cheers

I think I will go for UKR2 as I can get it for 8.5 quid. the US disc costs twce as much (too much for a 5.1)....i think

I have the UK R2. It is definitely not Dolby Surround, but just plain old Stereo.

Picture quality is okay, but nothing to write home about. I expect the R1 to be similar given that this is an old movie.
