The best setup to drive B&W 686. Help!!

hello, i have a pair of b&w 686 which are on my desk used as speakers for my iMac.
I know the best way to find the best amp for these speakers is to go and audition them but can you please tell me what you think is the best amp. Budget - up to £600

I think a marantz PM5004 should do fine, no? PM6004 will be even better.

But I'm curious for other comments

i was looking at the PM6004 has good reviews! slightly worried about the 45 watts though

The PM6004 has a torodial transformer. My experience is that it delivers the power in another way than the PM5004. My parents use a PM5004 for a pair of Dali Ikon 5 Mk 2, and a pair of Lektor 1 simultaneously. This goes very well actually. So the 686 should also be fine

considering they do a good job driving the ikon 5 mk 2's I'm sure they will drive the 686's well! i will certainly consider the pm6004! thanks!
