Here are a selection of images of my new home cinema / living room set up. This clearly show the process of the install from start to finish.

    System comprises of the following:

    - Pioneer PDP-5090 Plasma
    - Sony PS3 Blu-Ray
    - Nintendo Wii
    - Toshiba HD-DVD EP30
    - Sky HD
    - Popcorn Hour A110
    - Netgear Ready Nas Duo (2 x 1TB)
    - Sonos ZP90 ZonePlayer & CR100 Controller
    - Onkyo TX905 AV Receiver
    - Artcoustic PA-1800 3 channel power amp (Powering the DF100-75 & Panel Sub)
    - Artcoustic DF100-75 X2 (Stereo Pair)
    - Artcoustic DF-Multi X2 50” (Centre)
    - Artcoustic Diablo Sub Panel (On Wall Sub)
    - Diablo Monitor X2 (Rear Speakers)
    - Linax Duo (Low AV Storage Cabinets)
    - SpeakerCraft IR03 IR kit
    - Rako Lighting

My aim was to try and have both a great looking and sounding system.

I am really pleased with the results and thought I would share and maybe provide some ideas for those looking to upgrade.

    Cheers :)

Work has begun, old fireplace about to be removed, 1st fix cable runs completed before plastering
    [IMG]
Plenty of Chord Cable runs covering, Audio, Video and Networking requirements
    [IMG]
Cables not only hidden behind plastered walls but in ceiling cavity also
    [IMG]
Dru fireplace installed along with a false chimney breast, recesses for 50” plasma and Artcoustic centre speaker
    [IMG]
Great finish on the plastering, just waiting an age for it to dry out
    [IMG]
Close up on the recesses. Note – allowed for a 40mm gap to allow enough room to hang the plasma. Nintendo Wii Bar installed, so it sits above the plasma. Tolerance very tight for the centre speaker, that should be fun when installing it…
    [IMG]
Extended the Chimney breast to 23” so the front would be flush with the low AV cabinets. Speakers cables exiting the wall at the correct position. Don't forget to protect your cable connectors, when work is being carried out especially the plastering, my Fopp bags came in really handy
    [IMG]
Under floor heating being installed by the sparky
    [IMG]
Lutron Graffik eye out > Simple Rako lighting in
    [IMG]
Rear wall bare before adding the wall covering
    [IMG]
1st lick of white paint and what a difference already
    [IMG]
Wow starting to take shape, Bamboo flooring looks great and fitted centre speaker into the recess. Glass double doors also fitted.
Plasma hung on wall bracket, Artcoustic speakers installed along with AV kit in low AV cabinets
    [IMG]
Natuzzi sofa arrived and positioned opposite the screen
    [IMG]
Shot of room from dining room doors to front window
    [IMG]
Here is a close up of the wall covering we used, it was very expensive and looks like tree bark…
    [IMG]
Artcoustic Diablo rears installed, just at the right height above sofa
    [IMG]
Artcoustic Diablo sub panel (on wall) installed just above the skirting board
    [IMG]
Another shot of the room including Chanel our Siamese White cat to match room colours!

Very classy mate, love everything about this room! The papered wall and furniture look great. Coincidently, just recently got a replica barcelona chair and ottoman like that for my room, haven't seen any on here until now! Good work :smashin:

Thank you for your positive comments. This project took around 2 months to complete from start to finish.

The wall covering was supplied from DSE Digital in Gateshead at £150 per roll (2 needed) it looks like tree bark... and the AV cabinets are from Artcoustic at around £500 each.

As promised I have included a few more images on the AV kit inside the 2 low AV cabinets. Also some images of the Artcoustic's without grilles.

Lastly, I am playing around with a Cyrus DAC XP also connected to my Artcoustic power amp, using Sonos ZP90 as my main music source for the playback of FLAC files. This sounds very impressive although tempted to have a play with another sub connected directly to the power amp.

This means I have the best of both worlds i.e. one AV system in the left cabinet and a dedicated stereo system in the right cabinet (both systems sharing the same main left & right speakers). All I need to do is add a turnable to the Cyrus pre and that's me just about done :)

    Very nice. :smashin:

Only thing I'd say is that when my PS3 is horizontal like you have your's, the right hand side is where all the heat seems to be chucked out, the Wii being so close might be interfering with the cooling

So, what turntable are you planning to add? There are some nice stylish models around that would suit your decor. I have a Michell Gyrodec SE myself.:)

    Fantastic looking room!

I think you need the Transcriptors Master Reference turntable as the room reminded me very much of a certain Kubrick film featurning the aforementioned turntable....

I already have a Michell Gryodeck SE but hardly ever use it, so I think I am going to sell and replace with a modest turntable like a Rega Planar 3, shame they don't make them in White anymore.... :(

one suggestion... might want to move the Wii to the left side of the PS3 because the right side of the PS3 is where it's cooling vents are located. Don't want that over heating. Great looking setup BTW
