    so far youre favourite game..

ive just started cod4 which looks good..if not a little hectic.(also can you bring the map up to be on youre screen,or do you have to keep pausing it to see the map)..

anyway so far for me it has to be mass effect and rainbow 6 vegas.

Bioshock, simply the best experience in FPS single player since HL2.

Bioshock hands down, but i am going to be a bit different and say skate as well, as it is just simply fun IMO, which is what gaming is all about.

That's a damn difficult question, all of the following games (and in that order) I have at one time thought to be the best game on 360:

    Gears of War
    Test Drive Unlimited
    Crackdown
    Oblivion
    Rainbow 6 Vegas
    Halo 3
    COD4
    Mass Effect

and now I'm stuck somewhere between those last 3 and I haven't played Bioshock yet.

Cod 4 for me. Once you've played it, all other FPS just can't live up to it

Gears of war without a doubt....

The best game ever on the 360 and will never be bettered, even by gears of war 2.

    You can't improve on perfection.

Ah what I wouldn't do for a port of gears on the ps3 with the inevitable sloppy framerates, and worse graphics.....:)

GoW no contest, by far my most played game of all time and I'm starting to think nothing will ever beat it!

Second favourite would probably still be NFS:MW, despite the fact it was a launch title & I sold it on ages ago, it was just such a downright fun game to play and kept me going for ages.

CoD4 is definitely a masterpiece, but for some reason I can't seem to get hooked to the online, and the enemy respawning on single player veteran drives me insane!

I think your GOW tinted specs have deluded your mind.....

It is a very good game, yes, but certainly not perfection, in fact far from it. Do i need to mention the AI and command system...?

Marcus: "Ok Dom, this RAAM mother is hard as f$cking nails, whatever you do, stay behind this wall, where i'm pointing...."

    Marcus: "Dom"

Marcus: "Dom, what are you doing...."

Marcus "Oh i see, you've decided jump the wall to run head first into his fist...Again!!"

Marcus "Really glad you came, you've been a great help!"

Anyway, for me similar to post above, there have been a few different ones at various times, but the stand outs would be...

    Bioshock
    COD4
    TDU
    PGR4
    Oblivion
    GOW
    GRAW 2
    RSV

Many on a par for different reasons so impossible to pick one game.

I know what you mean about a few niggles here and there, but if I could change or add 1 thing it would be 4player co-op with an increased difficulty. Adding that would come before any changes to A.I etc for me personally.

No game has been this much fun for me both offline, online co-op and online in the other game modes....

As you can tell I'm a bit of a gears of war fanboy...I'm worse than the halo 3 fanboys on this forum..:)

Another i forgot on my list but really surprised me for how brilliant it was is Condemned. A real top game, very unique and an absolute steal at £9.99 online... I urge anyone who's not played it to give it a go, you won;t be dissappointed.

    Test Drive Unlimited for me.

I really enjoyed that game, simply for the whole cruising around the island and chatting away to friends. So many hours wasted chatting away and driving fast.

Burnout Revenge by some distance, though COD4 is right up there with the best of them

Too difficult to pick one. The games that have got the most gameplay for me are:

    Lego Star Wars II
    Just Cause
    Oblivion
Lego Star Wars Complete Saga (still playing)
    Orange Box (still playing)
    Forza2 (still playing)

and COD 4 is waiting in the wings on my shelf...

COD 4, Vegas, PGR 4, its got the be them

Bioshock wasnt action packed enough for me, i know that sounds strange, but i prefer the COD way of just killing everything, to the Bioshock way of collecting things.

Without doubt, Half Life 2. Makes all other FPS's redundant.

Im interested in people saying half life 2. I played it many years ago on the pc (and thought it was amazing!)but now find it very dull on the 360.

Its one of the few games that i wont be completing as i just cant be bothered.

It has to be Crackdown for me. After playing this game I haven't looked at a building in the same way and dont forget those addictive orbs. :D

Yep, I played it way back when it first came out in 2004. Played though it countless times & thought it and Fry Cry were amongst the best FPS's I've ever played. Just finished the 360 version, and it seems even better than I remembered it to be. It just throws so many different things at you. I love the story & the way you are never taken out of the first person view. The driving elements and puzzles are sublime. It's such an intelligent shooter, and makes most other games look real basic.

I think it's the puzzles that make it stand out for me. Yes there is a lot of shooting but you always end up in a situation where you have to stop, look around and solve a problem, you can't simply fight your way out all the time.

The first game that made me go  was rockstar table tennis. Yep I know but that was the first time and that is what made me a 360 user.

COD4 has had the most game time since I got the 360 and has to be the best game I have ever played. Also enjoyed Rainbow6 and Virtua Tennis.

    Ouch hard topic

Alot of people have said Gears of War... I liked Gears, graphics superb, gameplay abit different (with the getting into cover and blindfiring etc) And i liked the bosses etc.

But it seemed very short. and although the gameplay was very good and varied as in 'stay in the light' it just didnt seem to break any barriers.

Online i thought was nothing special, seemed to just be alot of sprinting around and jumping into cover, just didnt do it for me.

But its still up there i had alot of fun on co-op.

My favourites though thinking back have got to be

Driving - Test Drive Unlimited, easily the best and most fun, driving around the huge city with thousands of other drivers on line never got boring!!

Third Person - Gears of War as mentioned above

FPS - Now ermm Bioshock was superb-atmosphere was something else, story gripping and clever, fantastic experience, along with the graphics!
COD4- everything about it, COD4 now makes other FPS games work really hard to match it - and online is superb...im addicted.
Rainbow 6-Vegas - First online game i got addicted to, single player was superb, online at the time was just unreal... although this has probably fallen behind COD4 now.

Shout out to Half life 2 also, for me the graphics are still excellent on most parts, the way the story plays out is just superb. gameplay is everything you want it to be, action is great, gravity gun changes everything, puzzles and physics are brilliant.

So its hard to pick out a favourite as some games are not online... But COD4 is fantastic on both SP and MP so thats probably why alot will choose it, and its hard to argue with it tbh.

For me there are 3 Gears of war, Bioshock, COD4

They all have amazing gameplay but i would say

Bioshock for the story and cinematic immersion

Gears of War for the action and online Co-op

But my all round winner would have to be COD4, not only does it have great game play, a good story and is very cinematic but also the best multiplayer by far!! I can tell im going to playing it online for a good good while!:clap::clap:
