Not sure about how progressive scan works, would RGB Scart be able to do this? I just figured it sent a better quality picture to your tv/projector.
Emailed the guy asking for details, i'll see what he says..

MatC - sorry if I've missed the joke mate, but are you actually taking this DVD player and it's seller seriously?

OK, the guy is knocking these players out at £80? He has loads of them. Factoring in his eBay costs and working out that he needs to make a half decent profit, these players are probably worth £25 maximum.

You really think the thing will even work for very long, much less be any good?

PS does operate via VGA, its how the Iscan and similar machines work. They deinterlace incoming signals and output via VGA.

    Who makes these things?

Does this mean that other players output to VGA? That was my main interest in it, as my projector is having real problems with it's s-video and composite inputs, I thought this might be a cheaper solution to my problems.
Maybe if theres a 'decent ' player out there with similar specs then that would be good. So far this is the only one I've seen with VGA out.... (Unless I just use a PC instead....)

Well, look at what answer the seller has given me:

"Hi, it does have a PROGRESSIVE SCAN and a component YPbPr output.

    Kind Regards

    Andrew"

So it does have a component output::suicide:

He's sold lots of them... and very few negative feedbacks. At 1800 positives, 6 is essentially zero (usually misunderstandings).

On the other hand, people who buy a DVD player like this aren't likely to use component or VGA outputs ;)
