I just had the service engineer round to look at my Panasonic PD50 and he agrees that there is always a significant pixilating problem with 100Hz TVs and Sky. It seems the TVs are too good for the Sky picture and there is very little anyone can do about it (until HDTV comes I guess).

There was also a problem with patterning on the screen on the analogue signal so the TV is to go back.

I’m, therefore, looking for the best 28” 50Hz CRT out there that will cope with Sky. (Er in doors prefers a smaller screen!).

Any help and advice would be most appreciated- cost no worry!
    :)

Not sure on model number but look at the more expensive Sony IDTV, better specs. than the DL11

Has anyone got an opinion on the Sony KD28DX51. I've read alot of "bad press" about Sony quality and that they don't even make thier own TVs anymore.

Any help would be gratefully recieved!

Well I have the KD32DX51 and was a bargain for £649 when you
consider a Sony freeview box was £120 at the time.Digital picture
is very good and DVD's look great, the only downer is the lack of an
extra RGB scart. The other reason I went for it is its not as bulky as
    most of the sony's.

    hi,
quite seriously for you,the best thing for you would be to get a second hand b&o from ebay.
    theres quite a few.
i dont believe you could go wrong!
and the 28' are all generally 50 hertz.
great for sport and the rest of it.
    good luck
