Apparently the original film has gone missing, it was in storage, minding it's own business when a lawyer removed it and put it in his garage, some legal dispute was going on.
The chap forgot all about it and left it there when he moved house so now it's missing, and if they did find it it's probably knackered, garages aren't great for preserving celluloid.
Shame, great film, cheesy 80's fun.

Is this one worth buying? i remember i've seen Phantasm that's also from Don Coscerelli. But i think this is a far different movie from that one

Its a great movie........but its very 80s and very fantasy. It has a naked Tanya Roberts in it though so if that helps.......

For the prices of these new editions, especially with the inflated import costs, I'd not be suggesting these as blind buys. See if you can rent it from somewhere to get a feel for if its your bag and then pre-order but its a risky $50 pre-order. And yes, its very different from Phantasm........

To be fair I’d have settled just for some naked Marc Singer in 4K! Less so naked Rip Torn.......
