One day, I'm gonna have a thread about the 9986 I will have got.

In the meantime, I'll just moan when anyone else gets one.

Good choice Mark, i'll add you to my list of envy.

Agent Pingu, what are we going to do with you?

You're the only member of Club9986 who doesn't have the Telly! Tell you what, when I win the lottery this weekend, I'll send you mine!

Can you really not find a way? Hows about the 9976 at £1300? You're allowed membership with a 9976!

Tell you what, why don't you become the club secretary, and collect membership fees for a couple of weeks, then do a runner with the takings and get down the telly shop!

    Wahay!

I'm liking the club secretary idea! That's almost on a par with previous ideas consisting of knicking one of the many tv's that that chap Parm has, waiting til they only cost £800 or gaining a sponsorship deal from Philips........any other ideas are welcome! :)

Strangely enough, before I became 'enlightened' and discovered the bible of LCD's that is this forum, I was looking at getting a 9976, so I've almost done full circle after ruling out many a TV. Problem is, if I'm gonna do something, then I do it properly, and whilst I know there's a 9986, the 76 will never satisfy me. :nono:

As for affording one, I hate with a capital H, doing things on credit.......just one of my funny little ways.....and the other problem, which is kinda important, I really don't watch much TV!!! Ya see, I'm at the grand ol age of 20 now, and looking to get a place of my own, so the TV would be a bedroom TV whilst I'm living here, that then gets upgraded to lounge, but whilst it's only in my bedroom, doubt I'll watch it that much, although it would look lush on my wall! :smashin:

    Decisions decisions

I've just had another idea though, due to all the 9986 Club member there are now, if everyone donated just £2 a month to the Pingu's '86 fund, I'd have the cash in no time. I accept cash, cheques or plastic
