Only recently came across this forum and after a good browse through, I was able to make my informed buying decision yesterday.
So I'd just like to thank all the questioners and responders on this forum for all their help
It was a toss up between the KP44PS2 and the 42WH18B
I went to Sound and Vision in Bolton ( if you're going spend a load of money, it really is worth trip ).
Spoke to George, a scot, and he was unbelievable helpful and patient.
They had the Sony and Tosh next to each other so I could view them at the same time.
The Sony's colour, picture stability and overall clarity was pretty poor compared to the Tosh. I have to take their word that both sets were set-up to their best setting, they do know what they are doing ( compared to me that is ! ).
So, the tosh it was, which is handy as it's a lot cheaper.
So to the price. No haggling at all! I just asked what price it was ( nothing is priced in the shop ). £1550 for the TV including a free Tosh DVD player.
£490 for the Denon Gold AVR2802 and £650 for the Kef eggs.
I even got all my cabling at half price! And they had it all in stock.
Very impressive.
All I have to do now is work out how the hell this amp works. It is complicated to say the least. I'm gonna have to read the manual!
Expect a post or two from me in the near future.
Many thanks again.
