I don't think it is a scam ad. Why is it that cheap? What do you think?
A burn-in or exdem?
link by the way
I would never recommend ebay for something of this magnitude..... in any case..... i suggest this is going to get towards 3.5k anyhow
if you look, there was a new pioneer 50 inch went for 2700 yesterday. Id say if you can go and look and pick the thing up. you have little to lose (short of your warranty). Otherwise dont even think about it
Seeing as its Crampton and Moore then there is no problem with them. They offer an excellent service and are based in Sheffield. Last year I had ordered a Hitachi 42PD3000 from them via their web shop after TV and Video Direct shoved a forklift through the one I ordered from them whilst it was in their warehouse. (they only had 2 and the other had just been shipped to someone else)If anyone remembers the problems in May/June last year and the Empire Dierct fiasco then they will know that the Hitachi was very scarce everywhere.
See my post here :
They were very quick with delivery and very helpful with the problems I had with the screen and the return of it. Can't rate them highly enough.
Wow, thanks for the nice feedback, i think i'll go and check the item.
This may be completely unrelated but please note there are a quantity of:
Panasonic Plasma displays being sold around Europe.
The A in the product code suffix indicates that these units are built for the Asian market and as such do NOT comply with or carry an EC mark as required in Europe.
These models will be very similar to the BX UK models but importantly Panasonic UK will NOT offer any WARRANTY or REPAIR cover on the AX products.
As before this may be unrelated to the items you have seen on ebay but worth a call to the vendor I would say.
Winning bid: £4,399.00
So even Crampton & Moore playing a nasty game, not informing about the warranty issue!!!
Poor buyer and future buyers!!!
It states in C&M discription
"This item is brand new and boxed straight from Panasonic UK. It comes with full 12 months warranty with Panasonic in home service. We are a authorised Panasonic dealer"
So will be the UK model
But you can never be to careful, with these expensive items, we've seen too many scams, that it is only right to sometimes even questioning the description.
as kramer says, the finish was high. Richersounds were advertising the same screen at £4000 so (as i implied at the very start) this screen was too expensive....
the finish was higher than i expected so i think waiting for a few months is a better approach than buying it from ebay.
Thanks a lot everyone
