    Hi again,

Just came across the US model TH-42PWD7UY which correct me if I am wrong is the same as the TH-42PWD7B in europe.

Does anyone has this unit operating in Europe?

    Some specs:

    Color System: NTSC/PAL/SECAM/PAL 60Hz/M-NTSC
    Power Supply: AC 120 V, 50/60Hz
    Power Consumption: 290 W

    Can it be done?

It'll work alright, but you won't have a warranty and looks as though you'll need a stepdown transformer (although I did think the Pannys had dual power supplies ro both 120v and 240v).

I see your point there hornydragon but I live in Cyprus so I will have to import it from somewhere anyway...and assuming that the US model can operate with 240V/50Hz (Europe) I found my self today comparing :

    PWD7BX £1395 Vs PWD7UY $1410

    ???

Well yes, have you got any experiences with AV here?

They only got Viera units. They refuse to import the non tuner ones.
TH-42PE30 is still their latest model priced at 2300CYP which is around 2600 GBP
