I heard in another forum that John Lewis were doing it for £2500, but not sure if that included the free dvd or not, but obvsiouly get the 5 yr warranty, but based on current pe50 JL deals probably does not include wall mount or stand

It's funny how they have the 37" pedestal model listed with the same RRP as the 42" and more expensive with their discount. Something not quite right there.

the Panasonic shop Blackburn has a 37" in stock and is hopefully setting it up today with a HD feed, and he also has a PE50 on display so I will try and get down to get a demo.

If you wait long enough I'm sure the prices will eventually come down some.

This is a cracking deal from Total Digital, its only 5 minutes down the road from me as well. I think ill cancel my order for a sp50 from pixmania if total digital do 0% finance.

Seeing as all the major web etailers price match do you think they will on this?? I'd love to hear av sales matching this price.

Sounds like a good deal but when you add in the cost of the free DVD Recorder that AV-Sales and others are offering and the cost of a 5 yr warranty that you'll get at John Lewis (most Panny shops seem to be offering 3yr) then is it still a steal.

I bought the 42" pv500 from premier av (totaldigital.biz) yesterday at £2249 inc the floor stand. No DVD recorder with the deal but I've got one anyway. I assumed that it wouldn't be the UK model but it is and, as far as I can see there's no catch just a good price.

I think it's the luck of the draw who you speak to. Some of the guys are very knowledgeable and some are not. I believe their core business is through the net but you cannot knock their prices.

I also had a few neighbours who have had plasmas from these guys before and so I wasn't totally in the dark.

There's no way I'd recommend a place for people to spend their hard earned but all I can say is that they seem fine to me and I'm a fussy so and so when buying stuff like av equipment.

Best price I found by a distance. It also means I can now do some work and stop spending half the day on these forums looking at what other folk have got.

Oh, it's a bloody good picture as well. Not got it set up properly yet but sky looks noticeably better than through my soon to be returned Samsung DLP.

Store's called premier AV Centre. 105-109 Soho Rd Handsworth.

Store itself won't be winning any prizes for it's layout, etc, but I think most their business comes from the web.
