I just got back home after the TGS show! It was good! I had the chance to play the PSP for the first time, and I was impressed! I played Vampire chronicles (capcom) and a new Ridge Racer game (which looks like the original) by namco. Both games ran amazingly well, no slowdown or anything, so im guessing that the PSP can handle PS2 like graphics! The graphics for these games that i saw were good. The screen is MASSIVE!!! Everything I saw at the show was being handled with easy by the machine, so I think developers are only scratching it surface! Theres a list of about 50 titles to start with. 10 or so that are any good as far as im concerned! The hardware feels good, very good. A few things surprised me. The shoulder buttons are clear see through plastic! There is an analog stick, even if it isnt clearly visible. Its the little studded round pad directly under the directional cross. It moves like any analog stick you would find on a PS2 controller, only smaller and flat!! It is a TASTY machine and ill be having one come xmas!!! Other than all the PSP madness, there were several titles worht looking at on all the main systems. Snake Eater, FF12, Sega Rally 2005 and many more!! PC's also made an appearance at this once console exclusive show too. Both NVidia and ATi had booths. NVidias ruled as they gave out goodies like a pen with the NVidia logo that has the NVidia Mermaid in a snow globe...... its hard to explain. Also a strap we can use for cards or mobile phones. Anyway, it was a good show with lots of playables and makes up for the poor 2003 show. I would like to post some pics I took but I think they are too large. Does anyone know how i can post them?
