TF1 HD test has started on Hotbird again but it is scrambled at the moment.

AFAIK this is the HD forum loop which has also appeared on 21.6E today (unscrambled) and has dissappeared from 5W.

    Anybody else having this problem?

Hi Alan, Yes I got it eventually yesterday by selecting the mpeg2 audio and as you say the ac3 audio is blank. The mpeg audio comes and goes as you describe. The channel shows as scrambled in MyTheatre with Irdeto and Viaccess/TPS. The loop looks exactly the same as it was on 5W except the grey line at the bottom (over scan) is gone. The transmission at 21.5 E is 12520, H, 21700, I was getting a very weak signal from there even with 1.1 Metre dish, the footprint must be focused elsewhere.

It is interesting that they are continuing with MPEG2, I suppose the fact that the new receivers are going to be dual standard MPEG2 & MPEG4 will allow them to switch easily at a later date. By the way HD1 will not switch off the MPEG2, HD1 transmission until 2008.

    Jim.
