If I watch 95% PAL material then I want to get hold of a Digital Video Essentials disc?

    AVIA is for NTSC?

Have I got that the correct way round?

    Cheers.

they're disks for setting up projectors to provide properly calibrated images. contain test patterns, colour patterns and the like to configure the settings of your projector properly.

They're test DVDs that have various test patterns on them so you can set up your display for things such as black level and white level (using the brightness and contrast settings).

If you have colour calibration equipment, then test patterns are in there for that too, plus lots more.

Should also point out you want to get the PAL version of DVE not the NTSC one....as they are both available

I assume that any online store labelling the disc as 'Region 2' will be meaning the PAL version, as most do not ACTUALLY state region 2?
