Hi guys, I have a tv upstairs in the bedroom which currently has a feed from the sky box rf output downstairs via a powered amplifier using normal coax and going into the aerial input .

My problem is I cant get digital tv if I want to watch something else other than the feed from the sky as there is no tv aerial plugged in. Could I put a 'Y' splitter on the input and have both a terrestrial tv aerial feed and the sky box feed going into the single aerial imput on the tv ?

Do you mean you have no aerial feed at the Sky box, that could be plugged into its RF-in socket?

No I was being a complete novice and didn't realise there was a aerial input on the back of the sky box.

What I used to do was.
Aerial to SKY RF in.
RF1 out to local TV.
RF2 out to other TV.

No splitters in site.

Thank you all so much for your input. Most appreciated, problem solved !
