Popped into Union Street shop on my lunch today and picked up Terminator Salvation for £4.

They also had each individual season of Gavin and Stacey at £5 each and the boxset seemed a good price but can't remember how much it was.

Couple of other £5 blus but none that tickled my fancy.

All the FOPPs seem to have individual prices. The one in Manchester never has any decent offers. Not the best Terminator but a bargain for £4.

yep it seems that way - i was in the covent gardern store on sunday and there were no bargains at all

Nice if you can get it.

I think Fopp has always been a bit individual catering to local demand. HMV own most of them now although I believe they don't entirely own the name (or all the shops). Maybe that's changed.

Not sure why the hell HMV would get in more debt buying such a strange brand.

Just as in much of retail HMV is an enterprise that wants to accommodate different consumers with common products at different price points. They can't have have dual pricing within a HMV-branded store and so use Fopp to market to a hipper/starving-student consumer I think.
