I believe that T3 is due for release in 2003 starring former box office sta Arnie Schwarzzenegger.

Now I'm no cyborg expert but I would imagine their synthetic skin doesn't go old and wrinkly like us mere mortals, there parts may rust.

So isn't it going to look just a bit (lot!) ridiculous casting Arnie in the cyborg role yet again. Even if it is a different model you wouldn't base it on someone who is 60 + .

I maybe wrong, perhaps Arnie has a human role this time.

Well he is getting on a bit, but he is not 60+, he is 54. He has aged well though. T3 sounds desparate and lame though.

I'm a HUGE fan of Arnie & T2. But if it was possible for me to give hime some advice, it'd be: OY!! Arnie...don't do it! The problem is not only his aging process, but....well the man has shrunk! probably due to his heart problems a while back. But he sure ain't the cyborg of old is he? No, the role should pass on to someone else now.

Any suggestions for the 'new' Arnie?

I just said to the Misses after watching the extras on The Mummy Returns that the Rock may become the next Arnie. He doesn't do much acting but neither did Arnie in his early career. Yet he has some thing about him that could be developed given the right scripts. Or an arsenal of weoponry and some quipy one liners.

Well if Arnie wasn't in this movie, then it would have no one linking it to its predecessors. No Cameron, no Linda Hamilton, and now no Edward Furlong by the sounds of it.

Apparently he's been dropped from the production, because of his many 'difficulties' with the law, involving drugs and drink.

So now casting must begin for the role of John Connor.

I still think Arnie has a lot to offer and personally I can't wait to see him reprise his role in Terminator 3.Looking at some of the screenclips from his upcoming "Collateral Damage" he looks just as good as ever despite his age. He's also set to do True Lies 2 and possibly King Conan so it may be a little too early to write off the Austrian Oak just yet.

As for the John Connor role in T3...I hope there's some substance to the Edward Norton rumours that are doing the rounds.
