Saw temperatures around 42-43 Celcius in Saudi Arabia earlier this year during the day and lows of 30 Celcius at night. Even at that temperature, it wasnt that bad because of low humidity.

So far this year has been -5 lowest but last year my car was showing -9 as well. Even showed -29 at one point but I think the cold just sent the car computer silly.

    -196C that's amazing. But it's liquid nitrogen so that's cheating :D

You'll be ok, just don't hit yourself with a hammer. Or get shot whilst someone says "hasta la vista baby"

I've been in 'Vegas NV at over 110F (43C) - the car thermometer said 114F - and Gander, Newfoundland, in circa -25C.

    Prefer the latter thanks.

Most in a single trip was Gander (see above) and a couple of days later Belize at around 30C.

We were once in Death Valley, California, at a temperature of 126F (52C). Some roads were closed off because they weren't patrolled by rangers and too dangerous to travel.

The very next day we wanted to see the Devil's Postpile National Monument, just over the mountains from DV. We couldn't because the roads were blocked with snow. Temperature up there about -6C. Not hugely cold, but a 58degC change in 24 hours is a pretty big jump.

Some places in Scotland measured -16 last night with some places in Wales reaching -18 last night.

I was quite chilling here in West Wales last night - and still showing -10 when I took the kids to school.

As for extremes - A few years ago while in Nepal, I went from -15 to +25 after a 25 mile, 7 hour downhill walk. I started with about 6 layers - ending in just a T shirt and a pretty nasty headache.
