I am currently in the process of moving house, and will upgrade to digital in the new house.

My question is what is better Sky or Telewest, the Sky package is cheaper and I have heard the quality is better.

Also is there a cheaper way of watching the digital in another room without having to pay an extra £15.00 a month?

    Any advice?
    Thanks

Without a doubt go for Sky, at least you have the option to receive all satellite transmitted channels even if you don't want them at the moment, but with cable your only choices are whatever the cable company decides to carry which is often far from the full range available.

If you only want to watch the same channel in another room then it costs nothing after you run a length of good quality co-axial from your STB to the remote telly. (only downside to this is you will not get stereo on the remote set using this arrangement)

I have had both Sky and telewest.

    Sky Pros:

    1) Channels for money are better.
    2) Digibox (in most cases better than Telewest)

    Telewest Pros:

    1) No Dish.
    2) Offers Broadband Internet if you want it. inc 1mbit service. for good price.

Personally I would go with Sky and just have telewest for Broadband.

I would go Sky. 388 channels and growing. When firms launch new channels, the platform they will go for will be the one with most potential viewers so they can make money from the audience.

So, it has to be Sky for me!!!

Although, I do like the idea of cable. They should have done much better with the whole cable thing...
