telewest+harmony

    This is my first post and as such am new to this forum. I want to know if the H566 works with the telewest pace cable decoder. When you run the test system on the logitech website it has the telewest box down as runable. however under there general questions section it does say that Pace box's arnt compatible. I was wondering if from experiance or just knowing if it does infact work. Thanks

    Some Pace boxes use IRDA rather than IR. To get round this you can use a device called a Redeye, which converts IRDA to IR. Take a look at this website:

    I think you'll find that the later boxes are OK, ie model 4000 hope this helps.

    ok then, thats a nothing problem then, it'a a model 4000 but the remote i have to use it is displayed on the website as being one that runs this variant of IR. Can the telewest remote work on both or are you wrong\misinformed about the model 4000 being ok?

    just use the learn function to "learn" the codes.... I assume its the Blue remote with RDC 001 printed under the battery cover? IF so its IR

    It's the silver one, the one in middle of the top row of remotes. As of yet i havnt bought a remote as i thought it was better to sure it work work than having to send it back ect
