    Hi
I have had Telewest cable installed and have insisted on the Pace 4000 box as I understand from these pages that it is the only one that works with hard disk recorders (I was looking at a TiVo but there are more available now).

Problem is that my Pronto (old 1MB model) does not learn the remote signals, and even worse, the Pace box has no phono outs for audio.

Earlier Pace boxes do have phono outs but (evidently) do not work with HD recorders.

Has anyone come across these / problems and solved them?
I have a Denon 3803 on the way and want to put sound through it.

    Thanks
    Dak

A solution to the pronto (and Tivo) problem is the Red-Eye translator (www.redremote.co.uk), and the phono problem could be overcome with a SCART splitter adaptor or cable.

    Dak,

I've got the same STB, but from NTL.

I resolved the same issues with a redeye (highly recommended) and a scart breakout box (£13 from maplins), just like Mike's recommended.

My scart breakout box has now been replaced by a RGB to YUV convertor from John Simms which breaks out the audio too so I can feed the plasma with component.

Brilliant, thanks for your help guys. I have ordered the redeye.

I will also pop into Maplin's next time I am near one.

    Thanks again.
